QUINCY, Mich. - The Quincy Community School District is working with the Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency after multiple students reported experiencing seizures and tremors.

Parents with students of Quincy Community Schools expressed their concerns during the recent school board meeting on Monday, January 19.

The valid concerns are are in regards to students experiencing seizures, tremors, and other neurological symptoms.

A statement from the Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency to WWMT said, "We are in communication with the leadership of Quincy Community Schools, and are in the beginning stages of investigation."

"The investigative process will require the gathering of information, information analysis, and the assistance of families with students who have experienced neurological symptoms which may include seizures, tremors, etc."

They are also having the water and air quality tested in the schools, hoping to do that soon to rule those things out as possibilities.

The health agency stated if students from the district are experiencing these symptoms, contact their healthcare provider for medical evaluation.

Anyone who would like to speak to the health agency about specific health concerns, contact us at 517-279-9561, extension 241."
