Governor Holcomb Honors Businesses for Longevity, Service to Hoosier Workforce

INDIANAPOLIS - Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb awarded 101 Indiana companies with the Governor's Century or Half Century Business Award in recognition of each company's longevity and service to its employees, community and the state.

Businesses who receive this award have remained in operation for a minimum of 100 or 50 consecutive years and have demonstrated a commitment to community service.

Century Award honorees in the Northeast Indiana area include: Elkhart Bedding Co. Inc. and Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home both in Elkhart County, as well as the Strand Theatre in Noble County.

Half Century Award Honorees included Swager Communications Inc. in Steuben County, and Highwater Marine, LLC in Elkhart County. Also receiving Half Century Awards was Fashion Farm Inc., John Ley Monument Sales Inc., and Wirco Inc. all in Noble County.
