(AUBURN) - Kruse Auctions says its annual Auburn Spring Auction generated a record $10.25 million in sales during a two-day event held April 24th and 25th.
According to the company, 81 percent of the 250 vehicles offered during the auction found buyers.
The highest-selling vehicle was a numbers-matching 1957 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Roadster from the Dane Miller Estate Collection, which sold for $1.105 million.
Another major sale included Rick Dore's final custom creation -- a 1938 Delahaye "Pantheon" Custom -- which sold for $775,000.
Other top sales included a 1969 Chevrolet Corvette L88 convertible that brought $351,500 and a restored 1930 Packard Deluxe Eight Sport Phaeton that sold for $281,100.
Kruse Auctions owner John Kruse called the event a "spectacular sale" that included what he described as several world-record prices.
The Auburn Spring Auction featured a wide range of collector vehicles including classic American and European sports cars, muscle cars, pre-war automobiles, vintage trucks, and custom-built concept vehicles.
Kruse Auctions also announced its flagship Auburn Auction and Show will return Labor Day weekend in conjunction with the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Festival.
