(ANGOLA) - The Trine University Music Program will close out its spring semester with two concerts April 25 and 26 at the T. Furth Center for Performing Arts.

The University Choir performs Saturday, April 25, followed by the Wind Ensemble on Sunday, April 26. Both concerts begin at 3 p.m. in Ryan Concert Hall, and admission and parking are free.

The choir concert, titled "Songs to Soothe the Soul," features selections from a recent performance in Fort Wayne under the direction of Geoffrey North.

The Wind Ensemble, directed by Brad Jopek, will present a program built around the theme "Ah, So Fair!", with music exploring different meanings of the word "fair" and "fare."

The performance will also feature guest conductor Rachel Zephir, who is completing her doctoral studies in wind conducting at the University of Michigan, along with student conductor Ashley Salas, who will lead a Sousa march during the concert.

University officials say the concerts offer a final opportunity for the public to hear student musicians before the semester concludes.
