STEUBEN COUNTY - A Fremont man led the Steuben County Sheriff's office on a high-speed motorcycle chase.

The Steuben County Sheriff's Department stated on Friday, March 1 just after 4:30 p.m. deputies attempted to stop Collin Robert Green, 19, of Fremont for failing to display a license plate on his motorcycle in the area of Golden Lake Road and C.R. 150 S in rural Pleasant Township.

Green then fled at a high rate of speed and was pursued by the deputy.

The chase continued northbound on Golden Lake Road and into the city of Angola near Love's Truck Stop.

At U.S. Hwy. 20, the motorcycle turned westbound out of the city limits and continued to travel at a high rate of speed on U.S. Hwy. 20 before turning northbound on C.R. 600 W.

The chase continued on C.R. 600 W and then turned back westbound on C.R. 100 N continuing to Flint Road.

Once at Flint Rd, the suspect turned south onto Flint Road form C.R. 100 N.

At the intersection of Flint Road and U.S. Hwy. 20, Green continued fleeing from deputies by turning back eastbound on U.S. Hwy. 20 towards Angola.

The chase continued eastbound on U.S. Hwy. 20 back into the city of Angola before turning south on West Fox Lake Road from U.S. Hwy. 20.

After turning onto West Fox Lake Road, Green slowed enough that deputies were able to box the suspect's motorcycle in and safely bring the pursuit to an end in the area of C.R. 175 S.

The suspect was then taken into custody without further incident at around 5:20 p.m.

During a subsequent search incident to arrest, suspected marijuana was allegedly found in Green's possession.
