ANGOLA - A third candidate has announced she is running for Indiana House Of Representatives for District 51.

Judy Rowe, the former chair of the Steuben County Democratic Party, announced she has officially tossed her hat into the ring for the District 51 seat for Indiana General Assembly.

Current Indiana State Rep Denny Zent is retiring after a decade in service.

Rowe is currently the only democratic candidate running for the District 51 seat.

She will be up against Steuben County local Tony Isa or LaGrange County local Dr. Rhonda Sharp.

Both Isa and Sharp are registered Republicans.

Isa and Rowe are RE/MAX agents out of the Angola

Rowe is a long-time Steuben County business owner with more than three decades of solid experience in marketing and related industries.

She is licensed to do business in both Indiana and Michigan real estate markets.

Rowe has been active in the community and local politics. She only recently stepped down as the chair of the Steuben County Democrats.

She is a volunteer with local nonprofits including the Community Humane Shelter of Steuben County.

Rowe loves to spend time on local lakes, hang out with her three grandchildren, and enjoys working on her pickleball game.

As the self-proclaimed underdog in the District 51 race, Rowe believes that her time to be bold is now.

"I want to represent you at the Statehouse," said Rowe.

"I want to be your ears. I want to be your voice. I want you to send me to represent our interests. The time to elect a champion is now."
