Butler Man Falls Asleep Crashes Into Pole

DEKALB COUNTY - A Butler man allegedly fell asleep at the wheel and hit a pole.
The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department stated Robert Yoder, 66, or Butler suffered a broken leg after crashing his truck into a pole in rural Waterloo.
Reports state the accident occurred on Saturday, February 10 at 7:20 p.m.
Yoder was driving eastbound on U.S. Hwy. 6 when he allegedly fell asleep and crashed into a ditch before hitting a utility pole.
Authorities state Yoder was trapped inside his vehicle and had to be extracted by first responders.
Yoder was taken to the hospital and treated for a broken leg.
The DeKalb Co. Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Butler Police, Butler Fire Department, Waterloo Fire Department, Dekalb County Central Communications, and Jeff’s Towing.
