Ossian Man Arrested For Human Trafficking

OSSIAN - An Ossian man is awaiting extradition from Wells County to Kentucky in connection with a child exploitation investigation.

The Indiana State Police's Internet Crimes Against Children's taskforce served both an arrest and search warrant for Zavion Leon Jones, 22, at a home located in the 600 block of Aviation Drive in Ossian.

The ISP said the warrants were related to a child exploitation investigation involving the enticement of children through the use of electronic devices.

Jones's warrant charges were out of Christian County, Kentucky.

His charges include 1 count of Human Trafficking (Commercial Sexual Activity, 1 count of Victim Under 12, 1 count of Use of a Minor Under 16 in a Sexual Performance, and 4 counts of Procuring a Minor by Electronic Means.

The human trafficking charges originated from the Hopkinsville Police Department in Kentucky.

Assisting in the investigation was the Wells County Prosecutor’s Office, Ossian Police Department, US Department of Homeland Security Investigations, US Customs and Border Patrol/Protection, and the Fort Wayne Police Department.
