Angola Main Street Named One Of 3 Nationally Accredited Main Streets

ANGOLA - Lt. Gov. Suzanne Crouch and the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs announced three Indiana Main Street organizations have been designated as Nationally Accredited Main Streets.

New NAMS communities include Angola Main Street, Auburn Main Street and New Castle Main Street.

The be considered as a Nationally Accredited Main Street a program’s performance is evaluated by Indiana Main Street, which works in partnership with Main Street America to identify organizations that meet rigorous performance standards.

The Main Street organizations are provided a formal certificate recognizing them as the highest achieving Main Street communities in the State of Indiana.

Additionally, they will receive access to MSA and IMS trainings, networking opportunities with other regional and statewide programs, a resource toolbox unique to their needs, and more.

Angola Main Street states online they are, "Doing business as Angola Main Street, the Downtown Angola Coalition partners with the City of Angola, Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs (Indiana Main Street), and Main Street America, operating as an National Main Street accredited program."

"The program requires our organization to maintain certain standards in our programming and projects, ensuring quality and accountability in our community development efforts."
