(ANGOLA) - Temperatures are expected to trend upward this week in Steuben County as a milder weather pattern settles into Northeast Indiana.
According to the National Weather Service, highs will start in the upper 30s early in the week before climbing into the low 40s by midweek and reaching the low 50s by Thursday and Friday across Steuben County.
Partly sunny skies are expected Monday with a high near 37, followed by rain chances Tuesday and highs around 42. Patchy fog may develop overnight into Tuesday and Tuesday night.
By Wednesday, temperatures are forecast to reach the low 40s with partly sunny skies, continuing the warming trend. The warmest days of the week are expected Thursday and Friday, when highs could reach around 51 degrees, though rain chances increase late Thursday through Friday.
Colder air returns over the weekend, with highs falling back into the upper 30s Saturday and low 30s by Sunday. Rain may mix with snow Saturday, with snow chances continuing into Saturday night and early Sunday.
Despite the late-week cooldown, forecasters say the midweek warmup will offer a noticeable break from colder winter temperatures.
