Chris Krafft Wins GOP Caucus Vote for DeKalb County Council Seat

(AUBURN) - Republican precinct leaders have selected Chris Krafft to fill the vacant District 1 seat on the DeKalb County Council. Krafft was chosen in a 6-4 vote during a caucus held Monday, December 29. Ten Republican grassroots party officials participated in the vote, including nine precinct committeemen and one vice precinct committeeman, with ballots cast anonymously. Chuck Knox was the only other candidate to file for the position. Each candidate was given two minutes for an introduction and three minutes for a personal presentation before voting took place. Krafft will serve the remainder of the term, which runs through December 31, 2026.
