(HAMILTON) - Steuben County sheriff's deputies arrested a wanted fugitive Monday morning while serving an eviction notice at a home in Hamilton and discovered multiple firearms inside the residence. According to the Herald Republican, deputies took 48-year-old Ryan Wildermuth into custody after finding him hiding inside the house. Authorities say more than a dozen firearms were located throughout the home, including stolen weapons and one with altered serial numbers. Wildermuth was charged with Level 4 felony unlawful possession of firearms and misdemeanor failure to appear. Investigators say he was prohibited from possessing any firearms due to prior felony convictions for dealing cocaine in DeKalb County.

If convicted, Wildermuth could face up to 12 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
