(LAGRANGE) - The 73rd annual LaGrange County 4-H Fair opens Saturday, with a full week of food, entertainment, animal shows, contests and 4-H traditions.
4-H members will enter their projects Saturday. The fair will conclude one week later with the auction.
Saturday, 7/11
The fair opens at noon Saturday.
4-H recognition ceremonies are scheduled for 3 p.m. in the pavilion, honoring youth with tenure, TOPS 4-H, Master Achievers and scholarship winners.
A rodeo is scheduled for Saturday night.
Sunday, 7/12
Brighton Chapel will host a worship service at 10 a.m. Sunday on the free stage.
The Miss LaGrange County Queen and Princess Pageant is scheduled for 1 p.m.
Tractor pulls are scheduled for Sunday.
The parade starts at 5 p.m. Sunday at Lakeland Primary School and will travel to the fairgrounds.
A new pie baking contest will be held Sunday afternoon. Bakers of all ages can bring pies to the free stage at 5:30 p.m.
The ice cream eating contest will follow, along with a new butter carving feature.
Monday, 7/13
The Little Miss and Mister Contest will be held Monday at 6 p.m.
Tuesday, 7/14
Tuesday's Go Full Throttle Tough Challenge will benefit the Gwen Owsley Memorial Scholarship.
The event is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the grandstand. Admission is free, with pit passes costing $20.
Wednesday, 7/15
Wednesday is Women's Day, with female business owners setting up boutiques on the midway from noon to 9 p.m.
The John Dudley Magic Show will be on the free stage at 6:30 p.m.
Drag racing is scheduled for 7 p.m.
Battle of the Barns is also Wednesday night.
Thursday, 7/16
Thursday's schedule includes Your Party Princess on the free stage.
Martin Xtreme Super Cross Racing is scheduled for 7 p.m. in the grandstand.
Friday, 7/17
The 4-H Livestock Costume Contest is Friday at 12:30 p.m. in the show pavilion.
The Small Animal All Around Showmanship contest will be held earlier that day in the pavilion.
The Large Animal All Around Showmanship contest begins at 4 p.m. Friday. The contest starts at the equestrian arena on the west end of the fairgrounds before moving to the east side for draft horses and then to the pavilion for the rest of the show.
Friday's concert by contemporary Christian singer and songwriter Leanna Crawford, with special guests Madison Watkins and Billy Ballenger, will follow the 4 p.m. Large Animal All Around Showmanship contest.
Tickets are being sold in advance for $20 track seating and $15 grandstand seats at the fair website. Tickets will also be available at the fairgrounds box office starting Saturday.
Crawford won Breakout Single of the Year for "Still Waters (Psalm 23)" at the 2025 K-Love Fan Awards. She has toured with Michael W. Smith, Matthew West, Jeremy Camp, Tenth Avenue North, Matt Maher, Plumb and Jordan Feliz.

Entertainment this year includes a live stingray encounter, a butterfly garden, Twiggy the waterskiing squirrel, Dana Kunze's High Diving Spectacular Thrill Show, the Wheels of Agriculture Game Show and the Sidewalk Stompers.
