(ANGOLA) - Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northeast Indiana will recognize local McDonald's Owner/Operator Matt Ball on Tuesday for reaching a fundraising milestone through the McDonald's Round Up for RMHC program.

During an event scheduled for Tuesday afternoon in Angola, RMHC will present a check recognizing more than $32,657 raised through customer donations at Ball's four McDonald's restaurants.

The Round Up for RMHC program allows customers to round their purchase total up to the nearest dollar, with the difference donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities.

The event is scheduled from 1 to 2 p.m. at the McDonald's restaurant on North Wayne Street in Angola. Planned speakers include Ball, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northeast Indiana CEO Jenifer Veatch and a local family that has benefited from RMHC services.

Ball credited customers for making the fundraising effort possible.

"Every time someone chooses to round up their order, they're helping families stay close to the care their children need," Ball said. "We're proud to partner with Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northeast Indiana and grateful for the generosity our communities continue to show."

The donations help support Ronald McDonald House Charities programs that provide comfort, care and assistance to families with children receiving medical treatment away from home.
