(INDIANAPOLIS) - McDonald's restaurant operators across Indiana are looking to hire approximately 15,400 workers this summer.

Openings are available at locally owned and operated restaurants throughout the state. Positions include shift leaders, service team members, kitchen team members and guest experience leads.

Restaurant operators say jobs are available for people seeking summer work, additional income or longer-term career opportunities. Participating locations may offer flexible scheduling, on-the-job training and employee benefits that vary by restaurant.

McDonald's is also promoting its Archways to Opportunity education program for eligible employees. The program includes college degree pathways, tuition assistance, high school completion programs, English language education support and career planning services.

According to the company, more than 92,000 restaurant employees have used Archways to Opportunity resources since 2015. More than 70,000 employees have received college tuition assistance, with more than $240 million awarded through high school and college tuition assistance programs.

Hiring is expected to continue throughout the summer, with staffing needs varying by location.
