(ANGOLA) - High school students interested in engineering and technology still have time to register for Trine University's Allen School of Engineering and Computing summer camps.

The university is accepting registrations for its Engineer Your Future and Tech Titans Computing camps, scheduled for July 22-24 on the Trine campus.

Both camps offer hands-on learning opportunities led by Trine faculty. Participants stay overnight in the university's apartment-style housing and eat meals at Whitney Commons Cafe.

The Engineer Your Future camp introduces students to engineering fields including biomedical, chemical, civil, electrical, design and mechanical engineering. Activities in past years have included building electronic devices, assembling 3D-printed prosthetic hands, designing bridges, making ice cream and launching water-powered rockets.

The Tech Titans Computing Camp focuses on areas such as virtual reality, Python programming, robotics, embedded computers, AI image recognition and cybersecurity.

University officials said the camps are designed to give students a closer look at engineering and computing disciplines while experiencing the types of projects Trine students complete in those programs.

The cost is $100 per camper.
