(INDIANAPOLIS) - Track chairs stolen from Fort Harrison State Park have been returned nearly a month after they were reported missing, according to the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.
The thefts happened sometime between April 30 and May 1 when six Department of Natural Resources buildings at the park were vandalized.
Officials say the stolen items included all-terrain electric-powered track chairs used to help people with disabilities explore Indiana state parks. Two Vietnam War-era helmets were also taken during the break-ins and remain missing.
The DNR says the investigation remains ongoing.
