(COLDWATER - A Coldwater man is facing multiple criminal sexual conduct charges following an investigation by the Branch County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies say the case began May 1st after a juvenile female and her mother reported a sexual assault involving a 32-year-old man.
Following a weekend investigation, deputies submitted their findings to the Branch County Prosecutor's Office, and a warrant was issued.
Ryan Joseph Schlueter, 32, was arrested May 3rd and lodged in the Branch County Jail.
He is facing five counts of criminal sexual conduct, including one count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct involving penetration with an object and four counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct involving forcible sexual contact.
Schlueter was arraigned May 4th, where bond was set at 250-thousand dollars.
The investigation involved assistance from the Child Advocacy Center, Child Protective Services, Battle Creek VA Police, and Branch County Central Dispatch.
Schlueter is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
