(ALBION, Ind.) -- An Angola man is facing felony burglary charges following an investigation into a break-in at a rural Noble County home.

The Star newspaper reports Noble County Sheriff's Department arrested 40-year-old Zachary M. Sells Monday evening. He was booked into the Noble County Jail and appeared in court Tuesday on charges of burglary, a Level 4 felony, and fraud, a Class A misdemeanor.

Investigators say the case stems from a summer 2024 burglary at a home on County Road 1050 North near Wawaka. According to police, items taken during the break-in included a document safe, two headlamps, a Makita battery-powered fan and a woman's wallet.

Authorities say a debit card from the stolen wallet was later used at several businesses in Kendallville. Sells is scheduled to appear in court again April 6. Sells is also awaiting trial in DeKalb County on a separate Level 5 burglary charge filed last year.
