(LAFAYETTE) - Three men are in custody after authorities seized nearly $700,000 worth of counterfeit pills and illegal drugs in Tippecanoe County.

Investigators said the operation uncovered more than 39,000 fake pills, including fentanyl disguised as oxycodone and methamphetamine pressed to resemble prescription Adderall.

Adolfo Olivera of Lafayette, Romeo Sanders of Marion and Elias Zamot of West Lafayette face multiple felony charges related to dealing and possession of narcotics.

Officials said the months-long investigation targeted a suspected drug trafficking ring and involved several local and federal agencies.
