(ANGOLA) - Trine University Vice President Keirsten Eberts has been selected to participate in the sixth cohort of the Independent Colleges of Indiana Leadership Academy.

Eberts, who serves as vice president for online and international studies at Trine, will take part in the year-long program focused on developing leadership talent among faculty and staff at Indiana's private colleges and universities. Since its launch, the academy has supported more than 140 higher education leaders statewide.

Eberts is the fifth Trine administrator to be named to the ICI Leadership Academy. Previous participants from Trine include senior vice president and chief finance officer Kayla Warren, vice president for university marketing and communications Rachel Troutman, vice president for student affairs Cisco Ortiz, and vice president for enrollment management Kim Bennett.

ICI officials say the program is designed to help participants think beyond individual departments and lead with an institution-wide perspective, particularly as colleges face financial pressures, workforce demands, and changing student expectations.

Participants are selected by their institutions based on their leadership potential and importance to their college's future. The program emphasizes understanding colleges as integrated systems while examining higher education within broader state and federal policy contexts.

The sixth cohort includes leaders from private colleges and universities across Indiana, representing roles in academics, enrollment, student services, advancement, human resources, technology, and administration.

ICI leaders say alumni of the Leadership Academy are already making measurable impacts on their campuses, with the latest cohort continuing that work across the state.
