Tuesday, July 20, 2021

BRYAN, OH - A Northwest Ohio woman has been sentenced in a Williams County courtroom for a stabbing incident.

Court documents say Mary Bates-Robinson has received up to 4-6 years in prison. Prosecutors showed the court she stabbed her boyfriend on two separate occasions. She pled guilty to both.

As part of the plea deal, a second count of felonious assault, as well as domestic violence charges were dropped.

Bates-Robinson attacked her live-in boyfriend, stabbing him in the stomach on February 5th. She initially pled not guilty in the case and was released on her own recognizance, pending that she have no contact with the alleged victim. Authorities said she then stabbed her live-in boyfriend again, this time in the shoulder, about a month later.
