Authorities Respond to Gun Threat in Edgerton

EDGERTON, OH - Several police officers staged in front of Edgerton Local Schools on Monday morning after a student allegedly stated they planned on bringing a gun to school.
Edgerton Police Chief Dan Griffin reported that on Friday his department received a complaint in reference to juveniles threatening other juveniles. On Sunday they responded to an unrelated incident involving threatening messages that mentioned the school.
Officers determined the first complaint was not creditable and the second was not considered immediate or imminent.
Edgerton police officers did responded to Edgerton Local Schools on Monday morning as a precautionary measure. No gun was found, no one was hurt, and no one has been charged yet in the threat.
