BRYAN, OH - A Bryan man has reportedly died in an apartment fire.

The Bryan City Fire Department was called to a fire at the Bryan Senior Apartments complex on Rays Drive at 8:25 PM Monday night. Upon arrival, fire crews found heavy smoke and were alerted an occupant was still inside.

The apartment occupant, identified as Jeffrey Dominique, age 65, was located and found already deceased.

Investigators believe the fire was started by a cigarette which ended up in a garbage can, and ignited the blaze.

The incident remains under investigation by the state fire marshal’s office and the Williams County Coroner.
