The MSD Board of School Trustees heard a presentation on the reopening guidelines on Tuesday evening.

The guidelines for reopening school amid the coronavirus pandemic consist of three threat levels. Green meaning low to no spread, yellow meaning minimal or moderate spread, and red meaning substantial spread. The guidelines include encouraging parent screening measures and return to school policies for a number of different scenarios. It detailed transportation, protective measures, cleaning and sanitization, response levels, when e-learning is to be implemented, visitor and volunteer policies, student attendance, after school childcare programming, serving meals, and extra-curricular participation.

The board also approved 5% increases to principal salaries and 5-8% increases in health insurance contributions.
