Annual Classic Car Festival is Officially Canceled
Friday, July 3, 2020

AUBURN, IN — The coronavirus pandemic has put a dent in one of the largest classic car events as the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Festival has been canceled for 2020.

The board of directors of the annual event made the decision in a meeting Wednesday night. In a news release Thursday afternoon, organizers stated after consultation with local health officials, local government and our community partners, the board determined that the “responsible course of action would be to cancel the annual festival this year”.

Held yearly over Labor Day weekend and a revenue generating tourist action for Northeast Indiana, COVID-19 is not only putting a wrench in a 64-year tradition, but this year was also the ACD Club’s celebration of the 120th anniversary of the Auburn Automobile Company.

This year’s festival theme was “Women behind the Wheel.”
