ANGOLA — The Tri-State Steuben County Municipal Airport has received a $1.6 million federal grant for runway rehabilitation.

Tri-State’s grant award amount was for $1,650,000. More than $800 million was allocated for airport safety and infrastructure by the Federal Aviation Administration.

Tri-State Municipal Airport is updating the runway for safety reasons. According to the Herald-Republican, the bid for the project has been awarded to E&B Paving, who will grind and rehabilitate the runway and adjoining taxiways for an estimated $1.2 million dollars.
