Montpelier Schools Looking at Expenses

MONTPELIER, OH - Montpelier Schools is forecasting several years of deficit spending in the coming years.

The district is expecting roughly $1.5 million dollars in deficit spending by the end of 2024. In addition, school officials expect a 5% drop in revenue from income tax because the economy shift due to the coronavirus.

The board and administration will monitor spending, work to reduce personnel through attrition and retirements, and attempt to reduce capital expenditures for the next four years.
