Snyder thanked the public for “support and kind words of encouragement”.

Upon Snyder receiving the award, Congressman Jim Bank said Snyder receiving the award was “an important reminder of the crucial and selfless services provided by Indiana’s emergency personnel”.

With 28 years in the Steuben County Coroner's office and 39 years in public service, Snyder was already the Republican candidate for Steuben County Coroner’s Race in 2020.
