Northwest State Community College Awaits Stimulus Dollars

ARCHBOLD, OH - Northwest State Community College is awaiting further information to determine its financial outlook for the remainder of 2020 and 2021 fiscal year.

According to Northwest State President Michael Thomson, with receipt of recent COVID-19 stimulus dollars, the two-year college looks to be in good shape.

Revenue losses are occurring in the form of cuts to the school’s last two state share of instruction payments. The amount is expected to be about $600,000 worth in the last quarter of the current fiscal year.

Northwest State Community College has received just over $9.4 million in 10 payments of an allocated total originally around $11.2 million.
