Ohio Governor Outlines Graduation Plans

COLUMBUS, OH - Ohio Governor Mike DeWine clarifies that high school graduation ceremonies will not be permitted if they amount to mass gatherings in Ohio. The governor says the most preferred option is a virtual ceremony conducted online, followed by a drive-in ceremony where students would arrive at designated location to pick up a diploma.

Governor DeWine suggested after graduation gatherings of 10 people or fewer.

The Governor also clarified he fully understands what an important rite of passage graduation is to those who have earned their high school and college degrees.
