Zollner Golf Course, located on the campus of Trine University in Angola, Indiana, will open this weekend, focused both on ensuring a great golf experience and protecting the health and safety of golfers.
The course will open Friday, May 1, and golf carts - limited to one rider per cart - will be available. For the first two weeks, the course will operate from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Precautions include deep sanitizing of the facility each day, sanitizing each cart every morning with disinfectant spray, spacing out tee times and encouraging golfers to call ahead to pre-pay for their rounds, eliminating the need to even enter the pro shop. All 18 holes are touch-free, and clubhouse food will be available only as take-out.
An 18-hole championship course appreciated for its beautifully landscaped undulating fairways, scenic views and hilly terrain, Zollner Golf Course was rated the sixth-best collegiate course in the nation earlier this year by reviewers on the GOLF Advisor website.
For more information, or to book a tee time, golfers are encouraged to visit the Zollner Golf Course at trine.edu/zollnergc or call the pro shop at 260-665-4269.
