Steuben County Hits 21 Positive COVID-19 Cases; Vestil Reports an Employee Testing Positive

ANGOLA, IN - The Steuben County Health Department was notified of yet another COVID-19 positive test result for a Steuben County resident. Officials said in a news release Friday morning the patient is under the age of 60 years old.

Steuben County now has a total of 21 COVID-19 positive cases, with 14 individuals who are considered “recovered” from the disease.

Steuben County has 1 death associated with COVID-19.
The demographic breakdown of positive COVID-19 cases in Steuben County include 2 victims age 19 or younger, 2 age 20-29, 1 age 30-39, 2 age 40-49, 3 age 50-59, 7 age 60-69, 3 age 70-79, and 1 victim age 80 or older.

Company Officials at Vestil Manufacturing in Angola, in a message to their staff dated Thursday (April 23, 2020), alerted employees that a member of their staff from building 4 at Vestal has tested positive for COVID-19. Details on that individual and their county of residence was not made available; however, Vestil officials say that they are working with the Steuben County Health Department as to what to do.
