SWANTON, OH - One person was killed in a crash north of Swanton, at the intersection of Fulton Lucas Road and Highway 20.

Reports indicate a driver didn’t stop at the stop sign and was hit by a semi, heading east on 20. A 16-year-old female passenger in the vehicle was flown to Toledo Hospital where she was pronounced dead. The driver sustained non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the semi was not injured.

Investigators say alcohol is not a factor; however the incident remains under routine investigation.
