Mother Nature Will Loosen Her Frigid Grip on Temperatures
By: Sheila McCrea - Saturday, February 15, 2020

Mother Nature will loosen her frigid grip on the region’s air temperatures this weekend.

The National Weather Service says frigid air will come to an end as moderate temperatures closer to normal will be here for the weekend through early next week. Forecasters say a system will bring a burst of snow early Saturday evening into parts of the listening area. This snow will spread eastward and diminish to flurries as it moves into northwest Ohio.

Locations along and north of the Toll Road could receive a quick inch in a couple of hours, with the remainder of the area receiving a trace to a few tenths.

Sunday will be dry. Precipitation moving in could start as snow Monday morning, but mix with and change to all rain during the afternoon into the overnight hours.

On Tuesday, colder air returns with a chance of rain, possibly mixing with or changing to light snow.

Dry and colder conditions will then settle in for the rest of the workweek.
