Pappa Ducks Gas Station - Angola, IN
A semi truck took out a gas pump at an area gas station just before noon on Thursday.
Reports indicate a semi truck and it's load was pulling into Papa Duck’s gas station, located on the corner of 20 and 327, between Angola and LaGrange (about 1 mile east of Prairie Heights Community Schools). As the rig pulled in, the back end of the trailer clipped one of the gas pumps.
Eye-witness accounts say that quick action by a man at the scene who used a fire extinguisher to put out flames may have prevented a large fire or explosion.
Area emergency personnel responded quickly, and have been able to contain the potential of a greater fire.
No injuries have been reported. The incident remains under routine investigation.
Papa Duck's is owned locally by Eddie and Sheila Maillard.
