Significant snow is expected across the tri-state region later Wednesday afternoon and evening, which could leave travel conditions treturous over night and into Thursday morning.

According to the National Weather Service, conditions for today will see mostly cloudy conditions with high temperatures hovering right around the freezing mark before snow moves into the area later this evening, with possible accumulation of one to three inches expected in various areas.

The chance for snow is expected to last through early afternoon Thursday, before clearing the way for mostly cloudy skies on Friday as highs will remain in the low 30s.
