Incentives For Child Care Providers In Ohio

Officials from the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services are offering $3 million in incentives to help current publicly funded child care providers become rated or improve their rating. All of this in part of the Step Up To Quality program, which is Ohio’s quality rating system for child care providers.

Qualifying child care centers will earn $4,000, and family child care providers will earn $2,000 in incentives. As per rules of the incentives by the month of July, all Ohio licensed child care programs that receive state funding must participate in Step Up To Quality.
