Flu Bug Hitting Indiana Hard This Winter
Tuesday, January 21, 2020

The flu has hit Indiana in a big way this winter, killing 31 people so far in which a third of those are people between the ages of 25 and 49, according to numbers provided by the Indiana State Department of Health.

While flu activity nationwide is down for the second straight week, it is still considered what health officials deem “widespread” across Indiana, with health officials recommending those who have not done so to get a flu shot.

Across the country, 120,000 people have been hospitalized due to the flu this season, with more than 6,000 deaths according to the CDC.
