Early Saturday, at 1:57 a.m. the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Office performed a traffic stop at 5500 W 700 N, Shipshewana, IN. A black colored Dodge Charger had disregarded a stop sign and traveled through an intersection, coming to rest in the yard of a nearby home.
Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the driver, identified as Daryl Lynn Yoder of Middlebury, was in possession of alcoholic beverages and he was under the age of 21. Yoder was transported to the LaGrange County Jail and charged with Minor In Possession of Alcoholic Beverages.
The matter is being forwarded to the LaGrange County Prosecutor’s Office for further review.
