UAW Strike Against General Motors Enters Day Five
Friday, September 20, 2019

In what many are calling the largest strike against General Motors since the 1970's, the United Auto Workers union are continuing to hold their ground in the union's fight for wanting the auto manufacturer to produce better pay, as well as a better path for full-time employment among temporary workers.

While the 49,000 workers throughout the country are on strike the effect is now being trickled down to various parts suppliers across the region, with various parts supply chains having trouble delivering parts to GM cars and trucks to various auto repair centers and dealerships.

The shortage of parts is causing several companies to temporarily lay-off employees during the strike simply because their is not enough work, or parts, to go around.

Talks between the UAW and General Motors continue today.
