The Fremont Neighborhood Crime Watch, in conjunction with the Fremont Library, and Fremont City Park & Recreation Department is sponsoring A Night in the Park at the Fremont City Park from 6 to 9pm on Friday nights in July(16,19, and 30th). The N.C.W. will be featuring music by D.J. "Nates Goodtime Entertainment." There will be many prizes, food, drinks, and games. A "Kids ID program" will also be presented by local police officer, A.J. Carpenter. The Potawatami Inn has donated a "Romantic Night and Dinner for Two" as one of the big prizes. Then at dusk, A "Mosquito Theater" (Family Viewing Movies) will be presented by the Fremont Library and Parks & Recreation Department.

The Fremont Farmers' Market is on Saturdays from 8am until noon at Fremont City Park (where the water tower is). There will be Amish baked goods, flowers, plants, and jams and jellies. Fresh strawberries and other fruits and vegetables will also be available from the gardens.

The Fremont Public Library will host "Garden Topics," an informal get-together for area gardeners of all experience levels who would like to learn about seed gathering, as well as take a tour of the Library's landscape of native plants. The 6th Annual CHWC Hospital Hospice Butterfly Release Memorial Program will be held on Wednesday, August 4th, at 6:30pm at Garver Park Rotary Pavilion, west of Bryan High School and Bryan Hospital. M.S.D. of Steuben County Food Service will serve lunch to ANY child ages 1-18 at NO CHARGE. Lunch will be served from 11:15 until noon, Monday through Friday, on the southwest side of Carlin Park Elementary. Meals must be eaten on site.
